John Morrison (born 1829) was a son of Donald Morrison and Margaret Macleod, 20 Marvig.
In Lochs, in 1854, he married Margaret Macmillan, 17 Marvig. John and Margaret settled at 20 Marvig, where they had seven of their eight children.
In 1873 the family emigrated to Lingwick, Quebec.
