William (1756-1853) was from Frith na Hearadh, near Cliasmol, Isle of Harris.
He married Margaret Macleod and they had a son, Neil, in 1791, at Frith na Hearadh.
William was widowed and married Catherine Macleod from Harris. William and Catherine had five children and they settled at 4 Old Eishken.
The family moved to Buanish in 1830 and were living at 1 Caverstay when they obtained 22 Marvig.
