64068: Marion Macdonald

Marion (1793-1872) was the daughter of Neil Macdonald, “Mor Neil Dhomhnaill”  and his wife a Macaulay from  Harris.

She married Donald Macdonald, son of “Domhnall Ban“, Harris and they had six children. The family were living at 5 Torostay in at the time of the first Census in 1841.

Marion was widowed and in 1851 lived with  her son, Murdo, at Crobeg  and later with his family at 5 Torostay. In the 1871 Census she had been deaf and blind for 3 years.
