Ellen (1804-1869) was a daughter of Angus Maciver and Christina Smith, 11 Old Carnish. She was married to Donald Matheson from Crowlista and lived in Timsgarry. 

They had three children, Donald (registered in Old Parish Register 5th January 1826), Catherine and Angus before emigrating to Cape Breton in 1832. They settled at Little Narrows (South Side) where they raised another nine children.
