Malcolm (born 1816) was a son of Kenneth Smith and Marion Macdonald, Ungeshader. He was married to Ann Macaulay, A Bhuaile Chlach, Kneep. They lived in Uigen until the late 1840s, when they relocated to 18 New Shawbost.
They registered in Uigen; Sarah ( later known as Marion 01-02-1839, Christina 06-08-1840. Also at 18 New Shawbost in 1851; Ann born c1843, Malcolm born c1846 and Kenneth born c1849.
The family emigrated to Canada.
