Catherine Ann was a daughter of Murdo and Catherine nee Mackay, 17 Doune Carloway. She settled in Glasgow and was married to Hugh Mackay, 1 Carishader, with issue. They had four children: John Murdo; Catherine; June and Nan. After retirement they returned to Lewis, settling at her family home, 17 Doune Carloway.
