John (born c1806) was a son of Malcolm of Old Carnish. In 1841, John was enumerated with his father Malcolm (born c1781) and Flora (born c1816), probably John’s sister.
In 1848, John married Catherine Macleod, 4 Carishader; the couple had at least one child.
It is not known where this family finally settled.
