Margaret, born in 1922, was a daughter of Norman and Margaret Ann Macdonald, 9 Kirkibost. She married Norman Macleod from 41 Leurbost in Glasgow (1947). They moved to 9 Kirkibost in 1952 and remained there until 1956 when they relocated to 41 Leurbost.

They had four children; the eldest was born in Glasgow, the next two at 9 Kirkibost and the youngest in Leurbost.
