Donald (1863-1944) was a son of John Maclean and Ann Macdonald, 16 Old Mangersta. He was the middle of three brothers all named Donald. He moved with his family to 3 Doune Carloway in 1872.
Donald married Catherine Macleod, 5 Upper Carloway. The couple settled at 3 Doune Carloway and had thirteen children.
