69556: Murdo MacAskill
Murdo MacAskill was born in 1897, one of three sons of James MacAskill and Christina MacLeod of 4a Ruisgarry (Tarraloch). He married Ann MacLeod of Skye, and the couple settled in Perthshire with their two children.
Murdo’s two brothers were killed during World War 1, so croft 4a passed to Murdo on his father’s death in 1923. He subsequently passed it to his cousin Kenneth MacAskill, who held 4b Ruisgarry (Tarraloch).
