Roderick MacAskill

Roderick MacAskill

Roderick MacAskill, son of Peter MacAskill and Lexy Ferguson of croft 4b Tarraloch in Ruisgarry, was born in 1883, a year after the death of his older brother, also named Roderick.

The younger Roderick attended Berneray School. During the Great War he served as a Private in the 2nd Battalion, Royal Scots. He was killed on 2nd June 1918 and is buried at the Sandpits British Cemetery in Fouquereuil on the Pas de Calais, France.
