69886: Alexander MacKillop

Alexander, Alasdair Ruadh, was born about 1780, the son of Donald MacKillop. Alexander married Marion MacLeod from Skye, with whom he had at least four children. They lived on a croft in Ruisgarry where in 1818 Alexander was paying annual rental of £6.12.6.

Note: there is some doubt over his wife’s name. She is shown as Marion in son John’s entry in the death register in 1887, and as Ann in daughter Marion’s entry in 1859.
