Ann MacAskill

Ann MacAskill, daughter of Kenneth MacAskill and Catherine MacLeod, was born in old Ruisgarry in 1840, moving to 9 Ruisgarry (Gunhill), which her father obtained in 1850, and later to 11/12 Ruisgarry (Quay). Ann became a domestic servant, marrying Peter MacAskill of 7 Ruisgarry in 1867. Together they had six children.

In 1887 her husband was passed a share of 7 Ruisgarry, and later combined it with 6 Ruisgarry (Beasdaire).
