70594: Alexander Grant

Alexander, born 1862, was the son of Alexander Grant and his wife Annie M of Tong Farm. 

Following education at Glasgow University, Alexander was ordained. He became minister at Trumisgarry, North Uist on 10th September 1890, marrying Christine Miller three months later. They and their four daughters lived at Trumisgarry Manse. In 1904 he became Established Church minister on Berneray, living at 6a Ruisgarry with his family. In 1913 they left Berneray and settled at Heylipol, Tiree.
