Edith Grant was the daughter of Reverend Alexander Grant and his wife Christina Miller. Born in 1902, she lived at Trumisgarry Manse before her father became minister on the island of Berneray in 1904. The family resided at 6a Ruisgarry. They relocated to Heylipol, Tiree in 1913.
