71220: John Macaulay

John (born 1827)  was a son of John Macaulay and Catherine Matheson, 17 Crowlista. He assumed tenancy of the croft and settled there with his wife Christina Macleod, 4 Crowlista who, according to local tradition, died in childbirth c1861.

John later married Ann Macinnes from Harris with whom he had another seven children.
