71344: Donald Maclean

Donald (born 1834) was a son of Angus Maclean and Christina Morrison, 12 Old Mangersta. He moved  with his family to 1 Old Mangersta in the early 1850s. Donald’s first wife was Christina Maciver, 4 Geshader and they lived as cottars on 1 Old Mangersta. They had three sons, two of whom, Norman born 1867 and Kenneth born 1869 died in infancy.

Donald’s second wife was Mary Macleod from 15  Old Mangersta and they relocated to 18 Doune Carloway in 1872.  They  had seven children, two of whom, Hugh 1878-1881 and Margaret born 1881 died in infancy.
