Mary Ann Munro was the daughter of Peter Munro and Effie MacDonald of 18 Borve. Born in 1906, she attended Berneray School between May 1913 and September 1920. Mary Ann married Archie MacAskill of 11/12 Ruisgarry (Quay), with whom she was to have a family of six children.
