72231: Una MacKenzie
Una MacKenzie was born in 1894, the daughter of John MacKenzie and Barbara MacKenzie of Ullapool. She married deep sea fisherman William MacPherson of Moray. Their eldest child was born at 6 Bayhead, Stornoway, the home of Una’s maternal grandparents. The family lived at Mallaig for a few years, moving in 1926 to live as cottars on her aunt Jessie’s croft at 8 Ruisgarry (Baile).
Following her husband’s death from pneumonia in 1927, she lived in Leverburgh.
