Donald MacAskill, born 1770, was the son of Kenneth MacAskill. Donald married Ann MacQueen of Ruisgarry, with whom he had at least five children. They lived in Ruisgarry, where Donald held a tenancy, paying rental of £6.12.6 in 1818, falling to £6.5.0 in 1830. He is shown as a farmer in the 1841 census.
