72881: Norman MacLeod

Norman was one of twin sons born in 1865 to Malcolm MacLeod and Mary MacLean of Lamerick. His mother died when he was 9 years old, and Norman subsequently lived with his aunt Mary MacLean at ‘house 3’ Ludag.

Norman worked as a tailor before becoming a fisherman and marrying Mary Ann MacLeod of Sandhill in 1895. Together they were to have four children, making their home at ‘house 4’ Ludag, close to his aunt.

Later, presumably after his wife’s death in 1931, he moved to Strontian with his son Malcolm.
