73284: Mary MacLeod
Mary was born in 1816, the eldest child of John MacLeod and Margaret MacAskill of old Ruisgarry. Mary married Kenneth Shaw of old Borve, where they settled for a while before obtaining a croft in Borgh Mhor, Harris. In 1853 they returned to Berneray where they became cottars on 1/2 Ruisgarry (Sandhill). In 1864 her husband obtained 13 Ruisgarry (Sunhill).
Mary and Kenneth had a family of seven children.
