Margaret (born 1825) was a daughter of Angus MacLean and Mary Macdonald, 8 Old Mangersta. She married Roderick Mackay, 18 Valtos, and they had one son.

In the 1851 Census, Margaret was recorded in the household of her father-in-law John Mackay, 18 Valtos and in the 1861 Census, she was recorded as a soldier’s wife, aged 35, in her brother’s household at 8 Old Mangersta. Later she, husband and son were cottars on 8 Old Mangersta.
