73769: Mary MacAskill
Mary was born in 1798, the eldest child of Donald MacAskill and Ann MacQueen of old Ruisgarry. Mary married Alexander MacLean with whom she was to have seven children. They lived in old Ruisgarry, then moved to croft 11 Ruisgarry (Quay) which her husband obtained in the 1850 relotting of Ruisgarry. However, he lost the croft in the 1860s, and they became cottars in Ludag. Mary died of consumption in 1875.
