Margaret, more usually Peggy, was born in 1860, the daughter of Norman Paterson and Margaret MacLeod of Rubha Mor, and later cottars on 8 Ruisgarry (Baile). She became a domestic servant and wool spinner, remaining unmarried. She died in the district asylum in Inverness in 1916.
