74156: Marion Munro
Marion, born in 1853, was the daughter of Donald Munro and Catherine Campbell of 19 Ruisgarry (Brusda). When Marion was aged 10 years the family moved to 14 Ruisgarry (Trealigarry).
She became a domestic servant and married Angus MacAskill in 1876. They made their home as cottars on his father’s croft, 11/12 Ruisgarry (Quay), until obtaining their own croft at 6 Borve in 1900. Together they had a family of ten children. By 1911 Marion’s elderly mother Catherine was living with the family, passing away in 1914.
