74401: Donald MacKillop
Donald MacKillop, born about 1790, was the son of Norman MacKillop. Donald’s first wife was Mary MacLeod, with whom he had a daughter Flora.
His second wife was Ann Ferguson, with whom he was to have nine children. They crofted in old Ruisgarry. In 1818 he is shown in the rental lists paying £6.12.6 and in 1830 paying £7.1.0. In 1850 Donald obtained 10 Ruisgarry (Gunhill) in the relotting of Ruisgarry, to which the family moved. However, following his death around 1853, his widow was removed to become a cottar at Quay.
