Donald Munro, born 1880, was the son of Lachlan Munro and Ann Ferguson, cottars on 3 Ruisgarry. Later the family moved to 10 Borve, which his father obtained in 1900.
Donald married Mary MacLennan and they settled in Glasgow. In 1926 they were living at 9 Boyd Terrace. Donald was a police constable in the City of Glasgow Police, and in his spare time, anchor for its tug-of-war team.
