74831: Ann MacLean
Ann was born in 1831, the daughter of Alexander MacLean and Mary MacAskill of old Ruisgarry. The family moved to croft 11 Ruisgarry (Quay) which her father obtained in the 1850 relotting of Ruisgarry, but were later removed to Ludag.
Ann became a weaveress. She and her son Donald made their home at Baile. She is the subject of the poem ‘Eisgeachd’, published in Orain Chaluim.
