Katie Ann was born about 1949, the daughter of John MacAskill and Isabella MacQuarrie of 23 Borve then 13 Ruisgarry (Sunhill).
She and her husband, who was from Cnoc Shanndabhaig on Lewis, had five children together. Katie later returned to Berneray, living at 5 Church Road. She passed away in 2008 at Gartnavel General Hospital, Glasgow.
