Mary MacLeod

Mary MacLeod

Mary, born about 1790, was the daughter of Neil MacLeod and Effie Fraser of old Borve. She married Archie Munro, with whom she had seven children before his death in 1834. It appears that the youngest, Alexander, was born posthumously.

When the Ruisgarry crofts were relotted in 1850, Mary obtained 20 Ruisgarry (Brusda), which she continued to farm until her death of supposed consumption in 1864. The croft passed to son Lachlan.
