75775: Marion MacKillop
Marion was born in 1804, the daughter of John MacKillop and Catherine MacLeod of old Borve. Their home was at a site now known as Tobhta Iain ‘ic Bhàic. She married Angus Morrison and they made their home in old Ruisgarry, then from 1850 at 17 Ruisgarry (Brusda). Together they had a daughter, Christina.
Following Angus’ death in 1856, Marion was passed the croft at Brusda, which she farmed with the help of Angus’ nephew Roderick MacDonald, who continued to live in the household with his young family.
