Christina, known as Christy, was born in 1884, the daughter of Malcom MacLeod and Mary Munro, cottars on 21/22 Ruisgarry (Ben Leva). Her father was well respected in the community, having been elected by the people of Berneray to give evidence on their behalf at the Napier Commission the year before Christy's birth. Christy was a pupil at Berneray School until December 1898, when she left due to illness. She died of tuberculosis in March 1899.
