76429: Jessie Mary Morrison

Jessie Mary, born in 1889, was the daughter of Reverend Murdo Morrison and Margaret Macrae of the United Free Church Manse, Berneray. She was a pupil at Berneray School between 1897 and 1902, when she moved to Stornoway. She continued her secondary education at Aberdeen High School for Girls.

In 1921 Jessie Mary married Lachlan MacLeod from 9 Borve. They married in Inverness. Together Lachlan and Jessie were to have four children. Her husband was minister at Kilmichael Church, Inverness, in Dunvegan and at Garrabost, Lewis.
