Catherine, otherwise Kate, born in 1873, was the daughter of Donald MacKillop and Margaret MacKillop of Baile. In 1900 her father was one of the men to receive a new croft in Borve, and the family moved to 12 Borve.
Kate worked as a weaveress and domestic servant, marrying Donald MacKillop of 11 Borve in 1905. Together they had a son, Donald Alexander.
