76719: Alexander MacLeod

Alexander, born about 1760, was the son of Murdo MacLeod of Borve. Alexander married Effie Paterson, with whom he had at least five children. In 1813 Alexander held a tenancy in Ruisgarry, and in 1818 held tenancies in both Borve and Ruisgarry, paying annual rents of £5 10s and £6.12.6 respectively. As well as being a crofter, Alexander also worked as a carpenter.
