Mary Campbell

Mary, born about 1898, was the eldest child of Alexander Campbell and Christina MacLean. Her father came to Berneray as Free Church missionary in 1918, living at the Manse in Backhill.

Mary married George Christian MacLeod of Quay in 1921. Their two daughters were born at Backhill and Quay. George died of supposed consumption in 1925.

Mary later married widower John MacLeod, who was a Church of Scotland missionary. They lived at 12 Lochportain.
