John MacLeod, born about 1760, was the son of John MacLeod. John, a farmer, married Ann MacAskill, with whom he had at least four children. They probably lived in Borve, where in 1818, Ann is listed as a widow, tenanting the land jointly with one of their sons, probably Norman.
