Niall Iomhair Dhonnchaidh
Neil Macleod (1865-1944) was a son of Evander Macleod and Annabella Nicolson, 37 Gravir.
At Fraserburgh, in 1906, he married Margaret Smith, 43 Gravir. Neil and Margaret were Cottars at 37 Gravir and they had a daughter, Maggie who died in infancy. He was widowed a year after their marriage.
In the Gravir School Records Neil is named as Guardian of his nieces, Johanna and Mary Macphail.
Neil was skipper of the boat, Mary Jane and in 1921 employed Angus Macleod, 38 Gravir and Angus Mackay, 42 Gravir.
