90900: Murdo Nicolson
Murdo (1849-1931) was the son of John Nicolson and Christina Macdonald of 3 North Tolsta. The address at the time of his birth is not certain. His paternal grandparents were living at 16 Old South Tolsta and maternal grandparents were probably cottars in Old South Tolsta; it is likely the family were living at one of these addresses.
In the 1851 croft relottings the family obtained 3 North Tolsta and settled there.
Murdo married Isabella Morrison of 8 North Tolsta and the couple settled at 3 North Tolsta. They had eight children: six girls and two boys.
