91115: John Macmillan
John (1921-1943) was the son of Hector Macmillan and Christina Macleod. He was the twin of Jessie Macmillan; it is not clear where the family were living at the time of their birth. His maternal grandparents lived at 6 North Tolsta, his paternal grandmother lived at 2 Glen Tolsta.
In 1922 his father had obtained the tenancy of 45 Gress, in Glen Tolsta, but as his maternal grandfather died the following year it is not certain the family ever settled there before settling at 6 North Tolsta.
John died on the 19th of October 1943 whilst serving with the Merchant Navy.
