Gormelia (born 1871) was the daughter of Donald Murray and Catherine Macdonald; it is thought her parents were probably cottars at 19 North Tolsta at the time of her birth.

In 1882, when Gormelia was eleven, her maternal grandmother died and 19 North Tolsta was split, Gormelia's father obtained 19b North Tolsta.

Gormelia married John Campbell of, 7 North Tolsta, and the couple settled at 19b North Tolsta. They had six children: two boys and four girls.

19b North Tolsta passed to Gormelia's husband and then to her son John.
