91272: John Graham

John (1838-1902) was the son of Angus Graham and Isabella Murray. It is not known where the family lived at the time of his birth; his paternal grandparents were from Galson, and his maternal grandparents were living at 6 Old South Tolsta. 

The family obtained 34 Old South Tolsta in 1842.

In 1851, during the croft relottings, the family obtained 9 North Tolsta.

John married Mary Morrison, of 11 Vatisker; the couple had nine children: three boys and six girls. It is not known where they spent the first few years of their married life, or where their first six children were born.

In 1875 the family obtained 39 North Tolsta, and the couple’s last three children were born there.

In due course their son, Angus, became a cottar at 39 North Tolsta, but  it was their son, Donald, who eventually inherited 39 North Tolsta.
