91317: Christina Macleod

Christina (1790-1870) was the daughter of Kenneth Macleod and Ann Mackenzie. Her address prior to 1791 is not known, but in 1791 her father was working on the Tolsta road and recorded as lodging in Old South Tolsta Tack.

In 1820 Christina’s father’s name appears on the Old South Tolsta Tack sub tenants list.

During the 1830 croft lottings, the family obtained 28 Old South Tolsta.

Christina married John Macdonald, of 27 Old South Tolsta, and the couple settled at 27 Old South Tolsta; They had four children: three girls and a boy.

In the 1851 croft relottings, they obtained 10 North Tolsta.
