Mary (1825-1906) was the daughter of Donald Maciver and Margaret Smith of Old South Tolsta Tack.
In 1830, during the croft lottings, Mary's paternal grandparents obtained 21 Old South Tolsta. This passed to her father in due course.
Mary was baptised on the 2nd of October 1839.
The family obtained 23 North Tolsta during the 1851 croft relottings.
Mary married her paternal cousin, Kenneth Maciver. The address during their early marriage is not known, but they had their first child there.
In 1857 the family settled at 56 North Tolsta and the couple had a further five children. They had six children in total: three boys and three girls.
In 1874 36 North Tolsta passed to Kenneth and the family settled there.
Mary was widowed in 1903.
In 1905 Mary's youngest daughter had a child, Murdo, and the boy settled at 36 North Tolsta with his mother.
In due course 36 North Tolsta passed to their son-in-law Angus Maciver.
