91519: Alexander Macdonald

Alexander Macdonald (1814-1894) was the son of John Macphail, of 28 Lower Bayble.

Alexander married Christina Maclean, of Bayble, but was widowed in 1843. The couple had no children.

Alexander’s second marriage, was to Christina Macleod, of 24 Old South Tolsta. The couple spent their early marriage and had their first two children, at 28 Lower Bayble.

The family moved to 22 North Tolsta, during the 1851 croft relottings, and had another child in 1857.

They moved to 28 Lower Bayble in 1858 and had another child in the same year; it is not known where the child was born. In total the couple had four children: three girls and a boy.
