Donald (1871-1948) was the son of Murdo Murray and Annie Campbell of 47 North Tolsta; the family were cottars.
In 1874 the family obtained 71 North Tolsta as a newly lotted croft.
Donald married Isabella Macleod of 13a North Tolsta; the couple settled at 71 North Tolsta and had their six children.
In 1922 Donald obtained 13 New Tolsta, as a newly lotted croft, and the family settled there.
