91545: Angus Campbell
Angus Campbell (1899-1978) was the son of Murdo Campbell and Catherine Maciver of 13b North Tolsta.
Angus married Christina Isabella Smith of 11 New Tolsta; the couple settled at 13b North Tolsta and had two children: a boy and a girl.
Angus was cook aboard the Comrade; the Comrade sank on the 17th of September 1947 and the sinking was reported, on the 3rd of October 1947, in the Stornoway News. However the event was somewhat more dramatic than the Stornoway Gazette implies: oral history and the Canmore website record the Comrade exploding after a colission with the mail boat.
In due course 13b North Tolsta passed to their daughter.
