91561: Ann Maciver

Ann (1825-1899) was the daughter of Alexander Maciver and Isabella Maciver of Old South Tolsta Tack.

In 1830 the family obtained 23 Old South Tolsta as a newly lotted croft.

Ann’s father died in approximately 1845, but her mother obtained 14/15 North Tolsta in the 1851 croft relottings.

Ann married Alexander Macdonald of Coll. Ann’s mother divided 14/15 North Tolsta in 1954 and gave her son-in-law 15 North Tolsta and retained 14 North Tolsta for herself. The couple settled at 15 North Tolsta but had no family.

In due course the croft passed to Ann’s nephew Alexander Maciver.
