Margaret (1835-1909) was the daughter of Hector Morrison. At some point she had some sort of association with Tong School and Mangersta School.

She married Donald Maciver of 59 North Tolsta. It is not known where the couple spent their early marriage and had their first child.

In 1868 the family obtained 68 North Tolsta as a newly lotted croft and settled there.

In total they had five children: three girls and two boys.
